چکیده :

Abstract Generative artificial intelligence (AI), particularly language models such as GPT-3, has brought profound transformations to education. This technology, with its ability to produce human-like content, personalize learning, and automate repetitive tasks (e.g., grading assignments and generating questions), frees up teachers' time to focus on fostering critical thinking and creativity. However, challenges such as the decline in students' analytical skills, ethical concerns regarding academic dishonesty, and algorithmic biases have also emerged. Overreliance on AI may undermine critical thinking abilities, particularly among younger generations, who have demonstrated lower proficiency in this skill. On the other hand, AI can enhance analytical and problem-solving skills by providing personalized feedback and simulating complex scenarios, provided it is used in a balanced and supervised manner. Proposed strategies for education in the AI era include revising assessment methods (e.g., learning portfolios), establishing transparent policies for ethical use, and integrating AI with human interactions. The future of education requires strategic planning to harness the benefits of this technology while mitigating its risks.
